Greetings BSLC Family and Friends,
Can you believe that another school year has passed, and summer is almost here? Summer is about having fun in the sun, catching some waves while at the beach, or just enjoying a cold glass of lemonade on your porch. This summer, the BSLC Youth Ministry Team is encouraging everyone to include God’s Word during your summertime fun. Of course, we would love to see your darling faces at Sunday worship services, either at 9:00 am or 11:15 am, in-person or remotely. We are pleased to offer the SALT Project’s, Sing! Play! Summer! curriculum which will help your family to continue to grow in faith. Dig in and adapt each week to your family’s skill set, or age group. All of the lessons are organized around six toe-tapping, upbeat Christian songs to put happiness in your heart and God’s Word in your ear.
We are so excited to gift each family an age-appropriate Bible to help with the Sing! Play! Summer! curriculum. These Bibles are to be used for daily story time as well as a great biblical reference. The 365-Day Storybook Bible (younger) are for children up to second grade and The Children’s Bible in 365 Stories (older) are for those third through eighth grades.
Additionally, tune in each week online for a brief Kid’s Summer Splash video to announce the weekly lesson. For your convenient navigation, attached is the full program with biblical reference passages as followed for the first five weeks:

There are correlating songs for each weekly lessons, which will open by clicking above on the lesson names. You may play the songs from your web browser, or download all of the music to your computer, laptop, or cellphone. You will enjoy the upbeat tunes, so feel free to get your dancing shoes and move to the beat. Also, be sure to check out pages 17–19 for the lyrics so you and your family can sing-along.
Need ideas on how to use the summer curriculum? Try learning a weekly lesson around a campfire, have a discussion during a picnic, plan some time right before movie night, or simply set up a scheduled time to help strengthen your faith. No matter how you enjoy God’s Word, just savor each family moment.
Lastly, there are valuable additions to the curriculum packet. A series of events for whole family outings, a scavenger hunt sheet for hours of enjoyment, and a delicious lemonade recipe. We invite everyone to bring a friend (or two) and join in of the fun of team building and fellowship. Again, please save the dates and join us for an awesome good time!
