Dear Women of Beautiful Savior,
I wish to welcome you back to WINGS, our faith-filled, event producing group of women who claims each and every one of you as a member!! I understand that we have all navigated this past 18 months at different levels, but do wish to welcome you back as you feel comfortable.
Our church has grown in membership; our staff has had changes…. and if I’ve learned anything…it’s that that with change comes growth.
The WINGS Board has put their efforts into planning upcoming activities for this year that we hope you’ll avail yourselves to attend. We begin soon with Jan Bills, master gardener and business owner who shares her gardening tips in an enjoyable, educational and light-hearted manner. In October we will be honoring Marion Turowski as BSLC Woman of the Year 2021 at an off-site luncheon. In December we will once again enjoy the beauty of Advent By Candlelight as we prepare our hearts for our Savior's birth. February will host an on-site Women’s Retreat followed by Annunciation Service and Brunch in March. We brought back a congregation-wide fellowship event of a Progressive Dinner in April and will wrap our year up with voting for 2022 Woman of the Year and honoring her in the Spring (as our custom).
Are you a member of a Women’s circle? If not, please consider joining one. One of the main goals of W.I.N.G.S. is to help you grow spiritually and connect with other Christian women. As a confirmed woman and member of Beautiful Savior, you are automatically a member of W.IN.G.S. I sincerely hope you will be an active participant.
WINGS Board Elections will also be held in the Spring. I have prayerfully decided to relinquish the presidency (after 15 years) at that time and will support and encourage a new woman (or two…perhaps Co-leaders??) to carry on with new vision and ideas. Please consider stepping forward to serve as you feel called by the Spirit.
We are One in the Spirit…let’s make 2021-2022 a Come Back, Take Back time for our family of Women at BSLC.
