Beautiful Savior currently hosts two book clubs for enthusiastic readers: Friends of Friends Book Club and the Ravenous Readers Book Club. Each month a new selection is chosen, and then book club members get together for lively discussions.
Ravenous Readers
Starting with a prayer and time to socialize, this book club chooses books from a wide variety of genres. A different member choose s the book each month and leads discussion. These ravenous readers have read so many books, there are just too many to list!
The Ravenous Readers meet in the church library on the 1st Wednesday of the month at 9:30am-11:00, September through June.
Friends of Friends Book Club
This book club changed it’s name to Friends of Friends to reflect that it’s members often invited their friends to join and they fit right in. We read many genres of books, although the primary focus is fiction. Books are chosen by club members, who take turns leading discussions. When events or speakers have added to the monthly discussion, the group has taken field trips to places like the Detroit Institute of Arts, attended author appearances and took part in a high tea.
Friends of Friends meet at BSLC on the first Monday of each month at 10:00 a.m.
