This summer BSLC will be providing a take-home kit for families to continue growing in faith together! Called “Splashed with Love”, you can expect a bucket filled with lesson plans, supplies, and ideas for talking about God in fun and creative ways with your children—all centered around stories in the Bible connected to water.
Use all 8 on consecutive days for an action-packed week, or spread them out to last through the end of the summer and keep your kids engaged with fresh activities!
Plans are in the works to have everything ready for the middle of July. You can pick up your bucket at the church on either Thursday, July 9 between 4 and 6 pm or on Saturday July 11 between 10 am and 12 noon. If neither of these times work for you, please email Michelle at mketepa@bslcmi.org and we can set up an alternate time. What you can find in your kit:

Living Room Learning Journal with discussion questions and a place for writing down your thoughts.
Kitchen Table Crafts – written instructions and a video demonstration
Culinary Counter Snack recipes
Backyard Science Experiments – also with video demonstration
Resources for family dinner-time prayers
Neighborhood Helper ideas to share the love with your neighbors
Just for fun games
Plus an online platform for sharing with others on the journey through Flipgrid!
Supplies
A basic supply list for each day’s activities that you will need to provide will be included for easy reference and prep. Everything will be items that most people have around the house or are easily purchased with your next grocery trip.
Some of the extra-fun items will be included in the bucket for you. We hope it inspires fun and creativity!
