The Holy of Holies
This Week
The last few Brief Bible Dives raised a lot of questions about the history of the Jewish Temples. The central location in both of these sacred buildings, as well as the tabernacle that preceded them, was called the Holy of Holies. This is where the Ark of the Covenant once stood. It was also a room that the High Priest was allowed to enter only once a year on Yom Kippur. This Brief Bible Dive gives a description of this most holy place as well as some of the Scripture and mythology surrounding it.
