The people of Beautiful Savior are diving into a 40-day small group and worship series during Lent of 2022. The material is based on Rick Warren’s 40 Days of Community and is designed to help us connect, and after this pandemic, reconnect with fellow friends in the faith. The series focuses on purposes that God has for our lives and how we express those purposes best when we are in community.
The six weeks in 2022, starting on the Sunday before Lent, will be the following topics:
February 27 – “What Matters Most”
March 6 – “Reaching Out Together”
March 13 – “Belonging Together”
March 20 – “Growing Together”
March 27 – “Serving Together”
April 3 – “Worshiping Together”
BSLC members have a rich history of writing Lenten reflections, and as part of this Worship Series, we are asking members to write and/or read prayers during our weekly worship services. All members are invited to participate! Click HERE to learn how to share in prayer.
During these 40 days, our goal is full participation in the following:
Attend weekly worship
Connect with a Small Group for six weeks
Participate in a Small Group servant project
Join our email prayer team
Many small groups will meet on Wednesday evenings:
6:00 p.m. – Lenten Soup Supper
6:30 p.m. – Pastor Introduction to the Material in Large Group
6:45 p.m. – Small Groups Meet as Groups
7:45 p.m. – Gather in Sanctuary for Group Conversation and Prayer
8:15 p.m. (at the latest) – Depart for the Evening
Generally, if a person has a busy evening schedule, it will be possible to arrive at 6:30 p.m. and depart at 7:45 p.m., but we encourage full participation if possible. Small groups meeting in other locations and at different dates/times will have similar, but possibly modified schedules and patterns.

A Lenten devotional following this material will be available in the Welcome Center. There is a suggested donation of $10 per book.
