Our Regathering Task Force has met twice to set plans for worshiping again in person. We have decided to phase in two more worship opportunities on top of the current online option (for a total of three ways to worship). The following is the general outline of what we’re planning.
We will begin sending you more detailed information in follow-up emails as well as on a postcard.
The spirit behind this plan is to increase our in-person participation beginning with what appears to be the safest forms of gathering. Holy Communion will be offered during both in-person worship times. Masks will be required for outdoor worship until people are seated, and will be required for indoor worship at all times.
Outdoor Worship
Date: Beginning Sunday, July 12, 2020
Time: 10:30 a.m.
Length: Approximately 30 to 40 minutes
Location:
With good weather, we will meet on the grassy area behind the church building, sitting in households at least six feet apart from other households.
With bad weather, we will stay in our vehicles and utilize our FM radios like we did during the May 31 congregational meeting.
What to bring:
A mask
Your own chair
Your own bread
A joyful spirit
What to do in advance:
Reserve a spot to sit. This process will be explained in a follow-up email. It is important to know who will be present. If you forget to register in advance, we will have a process for doing so upon arrival presuming there are enough spaces remaining to sit at a safer distance from one another.
Indoor Worship
Date: Early August of 2020
Time: 9:00 a.m.
Length: Approximately 30 to 40 minutes
Location: Beautiful Savior Sanctuary
The specifics are still being determined, but people will sit in household groups spaced out throughout the sanctuary, with a maximum seating capacity of 25%.
