The quest for love can become a form of idolatry if we have false notions of the nature of love and what results from real love. Today, we examine a story about Jacob wanting to marry Rachel, but being tricked into marrying Leah, her sister. Jacob continues in his pursuit of Rachel and winds up paying a fortune so he can marry her too and therefore fulfill his wish for what he thinks is the best form of love.
