Religion in America Class

BSLC will be offering a spring education experience for all members on Sundays April 24 - May 22 (no class May 15). This class will be a study of the religious scene in America in the first half of the nineteenth century, and its insights for today.

Rev. Dr. John H. Siefken will teach the class from 10:10 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the conference room at BSLC. The study will look at the background of American religion from colonial days and will move through the Second Great Awakening and Transcendentalism. The struggle with the slave question was, of course, a dominant theme. The influx of Lutherans and Catholics created new dimensions. All members are invited to participate. Questions will be welcome.

Please contact our church office at office@bslcmi.org or 248-646-5041 with any questions.
