July 26, 2026 Summer in the Psalms: “God Is Our Refuge”

Psalm 46 proclaims God as our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, even when the earth shakes and the waters roar. In Mark 4, Jesus’s disciples were overwhelmed by a storm at sea, but Jesus spoke peace into the wind and waves. Together, these readings remind us God’s presence is not absent in chaos. Even when fear rises around us, Jesus meets us in the storm and gives us courage to trust the One who is with us.
