Psalm 133 celebrates the goodness and beauty of God’s people living together in unity. In John 17, Jesus prayed not only for his first disciples, but also for all who would come to believe through their witness, asking that they may be one in the love shared by the Father and the Son. Together, these readings show that unity is a gift rooted in God’s own love, and it becomes a witness through which the world sees Jesus.
