The first person to see Jesus risen from the dead was Mary Magdalene. According to the Bible, she one of Jesus’s followers from whom Jesus cast out seven demons. She was also a wealthy woman who helped fund his ministry. After seeing Jesus alive in the garden and talking with him, Mary would then run to the other followers who were hiding in the Upper Room and tell them the good news. This action is why the early Christian church referred to Mary Magdalene as “The Apostle to the Apostles.”
