2026 Stewardship
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-2
Faith In Action
Faith in Jesus is about having a living, breathing, active faith that strives to transform the world in positive ways. It involves growing in relationship with God and our neighbors, and experiencing the difference this makes. One of the joys of being part of Beautiful Savior is we are a community of believers who get into the game of life, get moving, and get things done. We don’t aimlessly linger, hoping for something better. We listen for God’s dreams, embrace them as our own, and then get to work bringing reality to those dreams.
This is why we plan to move our “Faith into Action” in 2026 in more strategic, focused, and effective ways. We will do this, with God’s help, as part of a larger plan developed by Pastor Schillack and the BSLC leadership. The areas of focus for 2026 were born out of extensive prayer, listening for God’s will, and thoughtful deliberation on what we can reasonably, or even audaciously, make happen.
Our Imperatives
What will it look like as we move our “Faith into Action” in 2026? Pastor Schillack and our BSLC leadership have identified these essential areas of focus in 2026:
Find
Your Fit
As believers in Jesus, the Holy Spirit has endowed us with spiritual gifts and spiritual power. Each of us is just as much a minister as a pastor or anyone else who does ministry. By discovering our spiritual gifts, and then activating them, life can be more fulfilling. In the coming year, we will focus our staff and teams on being a church where we all can do ministry out of opportunity and joy rather than obligation. Our goal is for at least 150 people to discover their spiritual gifts, skills, and interests; our further goal is for at least 75 people (with an “audacious” goal of 100 people) to find their fit in actively taking part in a BSLC ministry.
An additional investment of $245 per week will give our staff and teams the additional time they need to help you discover and move into action your amazing God-given gifts.
Second Service Surge
Beautiful Savior is blessed with multiple Sunday worship opportunities to put our love of God into practice, to move our faith into action, including the 11:15 a.m. worship time. While the 9:00 a.m. worship time and monthly Service of the Word for Wholeness are gaining strength, we seek stronger momentum in our 11:15 a.m. experience. We will do extensive research and put into practice ways to enhance this worship time so more people benefit from it. Our 2026 goal is for a consistent 11:15 a.m. worship attendance of at least 80 people (and an “audacious” goal of 100 people) by April of 2026.
An additional investment of $332 per week will help us enhance worship by increasing staff support for music and related ministries.
Beyond the Building
Beautiful Savior has an impressive legacy of serving our neighbors and the wider community in Jesus’s name. We are now putting extra investment into organizing and focusing our many forms of service so we can be more effective in following and sharing the way of Jesus. We will identify outreach leadership opportunities, focus existing ministries, and form new ones. Our 2026 goal is to start or restart at least three service-oriented ministries led by a renewed Outreach Team; the further goal includes measuring the effectiveness of our service-oriented ministries based on impact metrics.
An additional investment of $258 per week will move our faith into action as we more effectively share the love of Jesus through better staffed and coordinated acts of service.
