2024 Stewardship

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted.

What Is an Inflection Point?

An inflection point is when someone or something must respond to a changing environment. It is when a pivotal moment arrives that signals the need for decisive decisions that seize opportunities for propelling growth. An inflection point is filled with wildly exciting opportunities, much more than a simple fork in the road presents. It is a time to dream, discern, decide, and act.

 

Our efforts over the past five years – summarized below – have focused on building capabilities. The sum of those efforts has led us to this inflection point – a point at which our capabilities now allow us to drive mission and ministry growth at an accelerated rate, and along many different opportunity paths.

 

These inflection point opportunities involve spiritual and numerical growth in family ministries, worship experiences, serving our neighbors, ministries of care and compassion, men’s and women’s ministries, and other ways to help more people experience the love of God we know through Jesus Christ.

In five years, together we’ve added:

  • Care Ministries Team

  • Online Worship

  • GriefShare

  • Beautiful Savior Concert Series  

  • Breaking Bread Ministry

  • Creative Arts Team

  • MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)

  • Community Music Classes

  • Safety Team

  • Community Art Program

  • Service of the Word for Wholeness 

  • Direct Mail Campaign

  • Family Navigation Team

  • Beautiful Savior Endowment Fund

In five years, together we’ve restarted:

  • Stephen Ministry

  • High School Sunday School

  • Evangelism Team

  • Small Groups

  • Prayer Team 

  • Stewardship Team

  • Worship Tech Team

  • Finance Team

  • Eucharistic Minister Team 

  • Office Volunteer Team

  • Hospital Visitation Team

  • Telecare

In five years, together we’ve accomplished:

  • Wisely Navigated a Once-in-a-Century Pandemic

  • Upgraded Sanctuary/Worship Technology for the 21st Century

  • Renovated Youth Room

  • Grew Catechism Class from Five to Sixteen Students

  • Centralized Communications and Marketing

  • Resettled Multiple Families to the United States

  • Raised More Than $250,000 for Foster Children Seeking Adoption

  • Grew Staff/Contracted Positions by 100%

  • Updated/Added Emergency Equipment (AEDs, Trauma Kits, Etc.)

  • Increased “Beyond the Walls” Giving by 129%

  • Became Debt Free for the First Time Since 2002

  • Comprehensively Reconstructed Roof

  • Renovated Memorial Garden Landscaping

  • Replaced Boiler for Greater Efficiency

  • Transitioned Building-wide to LED Bulbs for Greater Efficiency

  • So Much More!
     

Our goal is to increase annual offerings by $43,567 in 2024 to take full advantage of growing mission in Jesus’s name at this inflection point.

Commitment Card

In response to God’s grace and love in Christ Jesus and in appreciation of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church’s mission, I/we intend to give this General Fund offering during 2024 in support of the congregation’s ongoing ministries and outreach.
