God Is Present in the Wilderness, Providing What’s Needed

Deuteronomy 2:7 states: “Surely the Lord your God has blessed you in all your undertakings; he knows your going through this great wilderness. These forty years the Lord your God has been with you; you have lacked nothing.”

Wilderness experiences in Scripture were times of formation. God used these periods for transforming people and communities more into whom God wanted them to be. Our current pandemic time is no different. It is a blessing to witness how God is using today’s events to strengthen Beautiful Savior as a community of believers who trust in God. As the reading from Deuteronomy said, the people “lacked nothing.” It was not an easy experience for them, just as our current circumstances aren’t easy for us, but God is present in the wilderness, providing what’s needed.
