Worship Option FAQs

Updated: Apr 16, 2021

Do I have to preregister before I come on Sunday?

Everyone will be warmly welcomed to outdoor worship even if they have not pre-registered. It would be helpful to us if you do register ahead of time.  We keep a list of attenders for virus contact tracing, and check-in runs a little more smoothly if we already have your name.  However, we will find space for anyone that comes for worship on the green and drive-in worship.  You can preregister here.

Can I just call and pre-register?

Absolutely.  Simply call (248) 646-5041 and leave a message.  You can then consider yourself registered.  We check the voice mail all morning to make sure we have an updated list.

Worship on the Green or Drive-In worship?

Thanks to the beauty of technology and the hard work of Al Eicher, David Eicher and Tom Barlow when we have Worship on the Green we can simultaneously offer Drive-In worship.  Simply ask the ushers where to park and you can stay in your car and tune into 107.3 to hear and see Worship on the Green.

What if there is bad weather?  What’s the plan?

We’re glad you asked.  In the case of manageable inclement weather, we are able to quickly adjust from Worship on the Green to Drive-In only worship by moving the worship team to the strip of grass parallel to Adams Road so that everyone could participate in drive-in worship.

Where can I check for last minute changes/details?

The best place to go is our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/BSLCMI.  We can quickly post any changes here.

Will you still be having virtual worship?

Yes.  Each week you can watch worship online from the comfort of your home at https://www.facebook.com/BSLCMI.

Do I have to wear a face covering?

While attending Worship on the Green, yes.  We hope that the time comes soon when we can skip this particular accessory, but right now we will follow the advice of medical experts to keep everyone safe. We’ll even provide you with a mask at the check-in desk.  Drive-in worship, however does not require mask wearing, as each family is safely worshipping in their own cars.  We’d love to see you.

How can I volunteer at worship?

View our current list of volunteer opportunities HERE. As always, you may contact our church office at office@bslcmi.org and we will gladly connect you to one of the teams that make worship happen each week.

What do I do with my offering?

There is a basket on the check-in desk at worship or you can give it to an Usher on the way out of the parking lot.  You can also mail your offering or go to our website and click on the “give online today” link at the top of the page.

Other questions?

Contact the church office or Pastor Nik if you have other questions.

We are missing our “normal” world of worship as much as you are and pray that we can add indoor worship, meetings and groups back to our schedule soon.

Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.
