Christmas PRAYlude with Beautiful Savior

Introducing Christmas PRAYlude: a brand-new way to celebrate the season! This is a year of many new challenges and unique ways of doing familiar things. Christmas is coming, and although it may look different this year, we still long to joyously celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus. Whether you feel safe coming to in-person worship, or prefer less exposure to others, we would like to provide an opportunity to celebrate with limited attendance in our decorated sanctuary. Christmas PRAYlude is a time for you to bring a small group – family or friends – to our sanctuary for a short worship service. We will have space for 10 people per session to sign up (unless your close family surpasses that number, and then we will make special accommodations for you after you contact us to share the need). Careful precautions will be followed including cleaning between each group and everyone wearing face coverings over both the mouth and nose. You will enjoy prayer, Holy Communion, Pastor Nik sharing the Christmas story in Luke 2 from memory, and Silent Night all for a total of about 20 minutes. You will then exit to the Welcome Center where you may enjoy time with your own group for another 5 or 10 minutes. You will be safely guided through the visit from entrance to exit. This is also a great opportunity to make your Christmas offering when exiting the sanctuary.

If you prefer a private session for your group that is limited to your household only, arrangements may be made on an individual basis by contacting Deborah in the office at office@bslcmi.org or 248-646-5041. Also contact Deborah for special arrangements in the case that your close family is larger than 10 people.

General dates and times available are:

Monday, December 14, between 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Tuesday, December 15, between 10 a.m. to 12 noon and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Tuesday, December 22, between 2:00 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

If there is overwhelming demand, we will seek to add more dates and/or times so as to make this opportunity available for everyone who wishes it.
