Dawn Carene serves as our Center Director at Beautiful Savior Early Learning Center. Since beginning her career at BSELC in 2002, she has served as the lead teacher in the older toddler room, assistant director, lead teacher in the preschool classroom and now Director.

Before joining our team, Dawn had the pleasure of teaching kindergarten for five years and then continued her career in early childhood where she served as Director/Preschool Teacher of another learning center in Birmingham.

Dawn has earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Ed. from Wayne State University. She holds a permanent teaching certification from the State of Michigan grades K-8.

Dawn also holds a certification from Michigan State University in the area of Child Care Administration. She has earned a Masters degree in Education with a Specialization in Teacher Leadership.

Celeste Buhler began her career with BSELC in 2005. She was the lead teacher in the older toddler room for five years. She is the lead teacher in our preschool room and serves as our Assistant Director.

Mrs. Buhler holds a teaching degree from Michigan State University and has earned a permanent teaching certificate for grades 6th – 12th. Celeste is loved by all our children and her attention to detail makes her an excellent resource for parents and staff alike. She is a team player and brings many new ideas to our center and staff.

Kelli Polk has been a team member of BSELC since October 2004. She has been an assistant in all the classrooms and the children and parents seek her counsel on a regular basis.

Kelli holds a B.S. degree in Early Childhood from Rochester College. She is the lead teacher in our infant room and plans age appropriate and developmentally engaging activities for children age six weeks through 15 months.

Sheila Judd began her career with our center in 2010. She is our current lead teacher in the Toddler Room where she utilizes her creativity to bring fresh and exciting experiences to the classroom.

Sheila has earned a Child Development Associates.

Sheila is very involved with her church and her love for Jesus is evident as her caring spirit shines for all to see. Sheila has over 10 years of early childhood experience and is qualified to work in all of our classrooms at BSELC.


Ms. Lindsay Gill is a teaching assistant in various classrooms. She will graduate from Central Michigan in May 2019 with a B.S. degree in Early Childhood.

Ms. Katie Lafever is a 2014 graduate of Grand Valley State University. Katie is energetic and fun and is currently our full time older toddler room assistant.

Ms. Kimi is also a preschool teaching assistant and has earned a master’s in teaching. She was a first and third grade teacher for several years before joining our crew in 2017.
